The songs and albums you buy are yours to keep forever. You can burn an individual song as many times as you like and the same playlist up to seven times. You can copy your music on up to three computers and transfer it to a compatible MP3 player an unlimited number of times. Tracks cost from 79p and albums from £6.95.

Napster To Go works with selected WMA (DRM10) compatible devices from Sony, iRiver, Creative, Dell, Samsung and others as well as compatible mobile phones. Napster would like to work on your iPod but Apple has chosen to keep both the iPod and iTunes closed off from Napster and every other digital music service.

Web Service - For streaming tracks

The Napster music that is downloaded to your computer is in Window Media Audio (WMA) format at 192 Kbps stereo and streamed tracks are 128 Kbps stereo. This high quality allows you to get the most enjoyment from your music however you choose to listen to it. We use Microsoft Windows Media Digital Rights Management software to make sure all the music you have is fast, safe and protected.

You will need a credit or debit card, a Paypal account or a ClickandBuy account to take a free trial of Napster Unlimited or Napster To Go. Napster Light does not require any billing information to register.

If you cancel your Napster membership you will still have access to all member features until your account renewal date at which time all membership downloads and music transferred to your portable device (Napster To Go) will no longer be playable.  Your account will automatically turn into a Napster Light membership, which has no monthly recurring charges and allows you to preview 30 second clips of tracks before deciding to purchase them. Any music purchased from Napster during your membership will continue to play and is yours to keep.

Once you purchase a track or album you can burn it to CD but CD burning is not included in the price of a Napster Unlimited or Napster To Go membership. To learn more about Napster's membership levels please click here.

To cancel a paid membership
If there is something that has prevented you from enjoying your Napster experience, we'd love to help. Please contact our Customer Support by going to Napster Account Questions above and clicking the 'email us' tab. You can also contact Customer Support by phone on 020 7365 1079 from Monday–Friday, 9am-9pm (GMT). If you would still like to cancel your membership please give us a call and we'll handle your request right away.

To cancel a free trial
If you would still like to cancel, you can do so now by logging into your account, clicking on "My Account" in the top-left corner, and selecting "Account Status". Simply click on the "Cancel Free Trial" link at the bottom of the pop-up and follow the prompts to cancel your trial subscription. Once you cancel your Free Trial you will be downgraded to Napster Light. Napster Light is a free music store and there are no subscription fees. You can continue to use Napster Light to purchase tracks and albums, burn and transfer tracks.

Napster Light Members
There's no need to cancel. As a Napster Light member, you will never be charged unless you choose to purchase tracks or albums. You can use Napster Light to search for and listen to 30-second samples of all the songs in the Napster catalogue for FREE.
